Dear Parents
The weather conditions at the beginning of the week obviously caused everyone problems, and it was regrettable that the school had to close. Such a decision is not taken lightly, but ultimately we have to consider the safety of staff getting into school and parents and children arriving in school in poor weather conditions.
Noticeboard
• There is a lot of sport going on in school at the moment despite the adverse weather, so please could you make sure your child has his / her PE kit for the whole week. Mr Lovell from Rye College will be running his final session with Year 5 next Wednesday morning.
• We are still experiencing some disruption with our cooked meals. However, during half-term the school kitchen will be fitted out with it's own refrigeration system, so we can at last become self sufficient in providing hot meals to our children.
• Work will also begin on replacing the existing boundary fencing. Planning permission has thankfully been granted, so we can now proceed with the next important phase of making the school site secure.
• The travelling book fair has arrived and will be in school until Wednesday. Please come and browse through the books after school. There is a wide range of books, catering for all ages, and your support ensures the school gets a good commision!
• Well done to Mrs Davies' class for a superb class assembly last Friday. It was both very informative and humorous! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to watch! Well done to you all!
And finally...
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
