Dear Parents
Thank you to all of you who supported last weekend’s Easter Fete. The weather was decidedly autumnal, but it didn’t stop you turning out, or the children having a fantastic time!

What a fantastic job Debbie Keen did to mastermind the whole event! The Easter egg hunt in particular was very creative. A HUGE THANK YOU to the rest of the team for their support. Without their support the event simply would not have taken place. Over £300 was raised for the school. Pretty good for a morning’s work!

Staff news
I am pleased to able to report that Mr Cook is making a steady recovery from a particularly nasty virus. We look forward to welcoming him back after the Easter holidays.

Construction work
During the Easter holiday the remaining part of the boundary fence will be completed, thus making the school site secure at last. Plans are now in the pipeline to improve the area outside Mr Cook’s classroom and to build a pathway from there to the playground. This will ease the congestion of children leaving the building through the main entrance at various times of the day.

Sporting news
Our netball team of boys and girls enjoyed a successful win against Northiam school on Tuesday afternoon. Well done to all of them and to Miss Newton for coaching them.

Early warning
The last remaining INSET day of the academic year will be on Friday 22nd May, when the school will remain closed.
The National Curriculum tests for children in Year 6 will take place during the week beginning May 11th.

And finally…
On behalf of all the staff may I thank you for your continued support, and wish you an enjoyable Easter holiday. School re-opens on Monday 20th April.
