TAGGED!
Thursday 25 June 2009
Children from year 5 and 6 came 3rd in an inter-school Tag Rugby tournament on Thursday 25th June.
The children represented the school with dignity and honour in a tournament involving 6 teams, from 3 other village schools. They enjoyed learning more about the game as well as winning matches!
The first game was against Winchelsea, which ended in a draw. Then followed a win and then defeat against Brede's 2nd team and 1st team respectively. The last two games saw us play back-to-back against Peasmarsh's teams with a 4-1 win and a 3-2 defeat.
The team narrowly missed out on a place in the final- coming a point behind the Peasmarsh team, to whom they narrowly lost in their last game, in the final standings.
Congratulations to Brede 1 who were exceptional and won the final convincingly.
The children showed exceptional sportsmanship and were a credit to the school. They would like to express their thanks to the organisers and especially the officials who did a fantastic job.
Special thanks must go to Mrs Ham who came to support the team.
