Dear Parents
Sports Day was a huge success on Tuesday, despite the blistering heat. It was lovely to see all the children taking part in the right spirit, which is a great reflection on their attitudes. Well done to all of them, and especially to the Kites, who won the trophy. Thank you too for all of your support on the afternoon.
Hindu workshop
On Wednesday we were visited by a Hindu lady who led a whole school assembly and then took the children in Mrs Davies’ class on a journey through Hindu customs and beliefs. This provided opportunities for some of the children to dress up as Hindu gods and goddesses. It proved to be a very valuable learning experience for the children.
Visit to Bexhill Town Hall
On Tuesday some of our school councillors visited Bexhill Town Hall, where they met members of Rother District Council. Josie, Michaela, Thomas and Chloe also took part in a planning exercise in the chamber. Again, this was a fantastic opportunity for the children to soak in the atmosphere of a real council chamber.
