End-of- term production
Friday 17 July 2009
Last night children in Mr Cook's class performed the world premiere of their musical comedy, Oink! (A Pig's Tale) at the Ellen Terry Barn Theatre at Smallhythe Place, near Tenterden. The performance got well-deserved rave reviews from parents and grandparents, who laughed their way through the many gags in the performance. We are very privileged to be able to use this wonderfully atmospheric theatre. Some of our great actors and actresses have performed here over the years, and yesterday it was our turn!
OINK! is based upon the well know tale of The Three Little Pigs, but you can be sure you have never heard this version before! When little Frank Trotter and his big, greedy brothers Monty & Welly are caught stealing the harvest feast, they are banished from the farmyard and sent out into the big wide world. At the same moment, infamous carnivore BB Wolf is being released from prison, apparently cured of his granny-eating ways by a mad professor. Unfortunately, his vegetarian days are short lived and BB is soon on the prowl for a sausage sandwich!
