Dear Parents
And so we come to the end of another busy and successful year at St.
Michael’s. There have been many highlights that we should celebrate and be proud of.
I would like to personally say a HUGE THANK YOU to the many parents who have given up their time to support the school in many different ways: from listening to the children read, helping with swimming, to accompanying the children on visits and planting shrubs. Without you many of these activities would simply not be able to take place. Thank you for your continued support. A special thanks to Debbie Keen and her fantastic team on the PSA for their magnificent contributions to the school!
I would also like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the dedicated and supremely hard-working staff at St Michael’s. Together they make a fantastic, united team.
Unlike many other schools we are blessed with a superb school of children. It never ceases to amaze me how interesting, engaging and supportive of each other all of them are.

The Leavers’ Service was a lovely, poignant occasion, to say farewell to the children in Year 6.
Mr Cook’s class had a fantastic day at Chessington yesterday, as the children challenged themselves to go on some of the scarier rides!
We say goodbye to Ray Fooks, a long-serving governor at the school. I wish both Ray and his wife, Marjorie, every happiness in their new home in Oxfordshire.
Term dates for 2009-2010 are on the school website. Please visit us at www.playdenschool.com.
And finally…
On behalf of all the staff, may I wish you all a super summer holiday. I look forward to working with you all in September!
