St Michaels Primary School, Playden, Rye, East Sussex

Suspected case of swine flu

It has been brought to my attention this morning that one of our pupils has suspected swine flu. The pupil is receiving appropriate medical treatment and is recovering at home. The school has been advised that no other actions are necessary and will remain open as usual.

As a school we continue to remain vigilant in our cleaning procedures and are encouraging staff and pupils to maintain good basic hygiene in order to control the possible spread of the infection.

The school will keep all parents informed of any further developments. This information will be posted on our website as well as in the weekly newsletter.

If you are concerned please contact your GP or NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
