Dear Parents
It has been a very busy and successful week in school! First of all congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in the cross country run in Winchelsea, where we enjoyed much success. Special congratulations to medal winners Eleanor Wheeler (gold), Charlie Banks (gold), Ollie Rhys-Jones (silver), Madeline Killelay (gold), Healey Ramus (bronze), William Nunn (silver) and Louis Williams (bronze). Many of our runners have qualified for the Partnership Finals at William Parker Sports College on Thursday October 22nd.
Also this week… a BIG THANK YOU to local artist, Richard Adams, who led a workshop with children in Mr Cook’s class.
Harvest Festival
Thank you for supporting our Harvest Festival. It was lovely to see so many parents and grandparents in the congregation. Captain Paul will be delivering the food to Stepping Stones in Rye, which helps homeless people find accommodation. Ray Fooks, ex-governor at St Michael’s helped to set up this organisation. The fresh fruit and vegetables were gratefully received by the Respite Centre in Playden.
Shoebox Appeal
Sue Cavilla launched our Shoebox Appeal for children in Romania, Moldova and Albania. I know many children will enjoy filling a shoebox with smiles over the coming weeks. The collection date for shoeboxes is November 5th.
School photographs
Please could you let Mrs Bristow have your photograph orders by October 19th. The whole school photograph is on display in the office reception area.
Letters and Sounds meeting
This will take place place next Wednesday at 3.45pm.
And finally…
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
