Dear Parents
Thank you to those of you who attended the Letters and Sounds meeting last night. I hope you found it informative. If you would like a copy of the parents’ leaflet that we produced please ask at the office. Alternatively you can download a copy of it from our website.

School lunches and photographs

Please could you return your completed menus by October 19th. Returns after this date will mean that your child will not be able to have a school lunch for 10 days. The deadline for photograph orders is fast approaching too! Please could you let Mrs Bristow have your orders by October 19th.

Looking ahead

Miss Palmer’s class will be visiting Ashdown Forest as part of their topic next Tuesday.
Also on Tuesday is the Rippledown meeting for parents of children in Mr Cook’s class. This will start at 3.45pm.

Sporting news
Well done to our football squad who were runners-up in the group stage of the Collins Cup. Sandown progressed to the knock-out stages.

Our successful cross country runners will be racing at William Parker Sports College next Thursday. Children will need to be registered by 3.30pm, and races start promptly at 4pm.

There is a girls’ football tournament next Wednesday at 4pm at Rye Primary School. On Thursday there is a Year 5/6 tournament at Brede Primary School during the school day. Details on these events to follow next week!

And finally...
School will be closed tomorrow for staff training. May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
