Dear Parents
We finish Term 1 on a high note, with more sporting success. First of all, congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in the cross country run at William Parker yesterday. It was a fantastic team appearance! Special congratulations go to Eleanor, Healey and Charlie who qualified for the next round. The girls’ football team also performed remarkably well and qualified for the next round. And finally well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the Brede football tournament. They came a very creditable fifth place!

Karate Club
There was a good response to the Karate club. I am pleased to be able to say that this will take place on Wednesdays after school from 3.30-4.30pm, starting on November 2nd. The first session will be free of charge! More
details from the organisers will follow.

School dinners
All parents who have pre-paid school meals for their child will receive meal vouchers for the days on which a school lunch has been ordered. Envelopes will be going home today.

Looking ahead
Miss Palmer’s postponed class trip to Ashdown Forest will now take place on Thursday 5th November.

The date for the Christmas Fair has now been set for Saturday 12th December and will take place in school.
You should receive a questionnaire today canvassing your views on aspects of school life. Please return these to school next term.

If you are filling a shoebox for the Link Romania appeal please could you bring them in to school by Thursday 5th November, which is collection day.

And finally…
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing half-term!
