Emergency closure procedures

There are a number of ways in which you can find up-to-date information in the event of the school having to close because of severe weather:
(a) log on to our website;
(b) tune in to Heart 102.4 or 103.5 and BBC Southern Counties Radio, where school closures will be announced every 15 minutes. A full list of school closures will also be posted at www.heart.co.uk;
(c) log on to the East Sussex County Council website, where you will find the relevant information.
We shall also activate the Text to Parents facility to your mobile phone (if the school has your number).
It is never an easy decision to close the school. School will only close if the health and safety of staff and children is deemed to be compromised.
