Dear Parents,
What a fantastic occasion yesterday’s sports day was! Perfect weather, lots of happy, cheering children. Congratulations to all the children in Falcons for winning the trophy. Well done to all the children for making the afternoon such an enjoyable one. And a big THANK YOU to all the parents and grandparents who came to support us. Well done to you all!
Miss Newton’s cake sale
A huge thank you for raising a magnificent £130 for Miss Newton’s class coffers. This will enable her to buy extra
resources for the children.
Theatre visit
Children in Key Stage 1 and Years 3 & 4 enjoyed an interactive performance of Huff and Puff, a cautionary tale about the dangers of smoking.
Looking ahead to next week
Children in Mr Cook’s class start their cycling proficiency course on Monday. We need one extra parent helper!
A team of Year 4 & 5 children will be taking part in a Kwik Cricket tournament on Monday at Horntye in Hastings.
Year 5 will be having a taster day at Rye College on Tuesday.
Don’t forget to fill up your sacks of old clothing and bring them into school, because Phil the Sack makes his first collection of recycled textiles next Thursday. Remember that every sack collected converts into cash for the school. So getting filling!!
Members of School Council will be joining other school councils at Brede next Friday to discuss ways of making school lunches more enjoyable.
All the fun of the fair
Don’t forget it’s our summer fair next Saturday. Doors open at midday. I hope you can be there! It promises to be a fantastic few hours!
And finally…
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
