Dear Parents,
Thank you for filling your sacks with old clothes and textiles and bringing them to school. We had a massive response to the “Phil” the sack appeal. I will let you know how much money was raised.
Congratulations to our team of Kwik cricketers, who won the Rye College Partner Schools Trophy on Wednesday. Yet another sporting triumph!
Staff news
I am delighted to be able to tell you that Miss Palmer gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Oliver on Monday, weighing in at 8lb 3oz. I am sure you would want me to convey your good wishes to Miss Palmer and her partner, Gareth.
Noticeboard
There are still lots of things going on in school between now and the rest of term. Here are just a few events for next week:
A group of children from Mr Cook’s class will be taking part in a swimming gala at Summerfields in Hastings next Tuesday.
Children in Year 6 will be spending three transition days at Rye College next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Mrs Pepler’s class assembly will take place next Thursday afternoon at 3pm. Parents are most welcome to come and watch.
There is a meeting for new Reception parents next Friday.
Breakfast club
Please can you return your slips if you intend to take up a provisional place in the breakfast club. Your replies will be very important in the application process for funding. Copies can be collected from the office.
And finally...All the fun of the fair!
Doors open at midday. There is much to see and do and enjoy, including the best BBQ in the local area and a chance to gunge a member of staff. The forecast is good for the weekend, so I hope many of you will be able to come and support the school. The PSA have done a fantastic job organising this year’s event. I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!
