Dear Parents
We have come to the end of another busy and successful year for the school. There have been many highlights and much that we should celebrate and be proud of. We are very lucky to have a school-full of children who are always engaging and
supportive of each other, and a dedicated staff who demonstrate so much care to all the children. Well done!

Leavers’ service
Yesterday’s service at Playden Church was a lovely, poignant occasion when we said goodbye to the children in Year 6. I am also conscious of the fact that we shall be losing some parents, who have a long association with the school. May I thank them for their support over the years. You are always welcome to come and see us!

End-of-year production
Children in Mr Cook’s class enthralled and entertained their
parents and grandparents last week with two super evening
performances of their musical comedy, Zoom, at Smallhythe Place. Congratulations to all the boys and girls.

Phil the Sack
Thank you for all your sacks of clothes and textiles. You raised £142.80 for the school. The next collection will be in November.

School uniform
We now have t-shirts in the four house colours (red, green, blue and yellow), which you can buy for £3.50 each. Please see Mrs Bristow.

School website
We shall be updating the website during the summer holidays. Don’t forget to visit us at www.playdenschool.com for the latest information, including term dates for next year.

And finally…
I would personally like to thank all the many parents who have given up their time to support the school this year: from listening to children read, helping with swimming, planting shrubs, to accompanying the children on visits. Without you, many of these activities would simply not be able to take place. Thank you to your continued
support. Also a special thanks to the dedicated team of parents in the PSA, who have worked magnificently this year to support the school. Finally, on behalf of all the staff, may I wish you all a super summer holiday. See you on September 2nd!
