Newsletter 17
Friday 20 January 2012
Dear Parents,
As you may know the school was inspected last Friday by a representative from the Diocese of Chichester and, whilst a draft report has not yet been sent to the school, verbal feedback indicates that the outcomes are good.
Accompanying today’s newsletter is a list of dates for terms 3 and 4.
Coming soon…
A small group of children will be taking part in an art and craft enrichment day at Peasmarsh on Monday, and a group of Year 2 children will be taking part in a music enrichment day on Thursday.
Art club with Bekky May resumes on Monday for children in Years 4 and 5. There are still a few places available.
A group of Year 6 children will resume their maths master classes at Rye College next Tuesday.
The travelling book fair arrives in school on February 1st.
Teaching Assistant vacancy
We have advertised for a vacancy for a part-time TA post. Details can be found in the Parents’ notice board, on our own website and that of East Sussex County Council. You can also contact the office for details.
Carpet crawlers
Miss Newton has asked that if you have any old unwanted rugs or off-cuts of carpet please could you bring them in to school, as the children can sit on them in the playground during lunchtimes
Equestrian news
Congratulations to Rosie, Cosmo, Evelyn and William who represented the school in a show jumping event in December, coming second. A HUGE WELL DONE to William, who came second in a recent dressage event, again representing the school!
And finally…
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
