Dear Parents,
As you know we have made many improvements to the school environment and we are constantly looking at ways to improve other parts of the site. So, next week we are having the raised area at the end of the playground converted into an outdoor stage with decking, which will come into its own as we move slowly into Spring. It could be used for outdoor assemblies, dance and drama. We are also awaiting planning permission for a canopy outside Miss Hoad’s classroom, which will provide much needed additional space for the children.
Groups of children have been out and about this week, taking part in music workshops, maths master classes and art and craft activities based on Chinese New Year. All of these things have been both enjoyable and rewarding experiences for them.
A big THANK YOU to those parents who have responded generously to our plea for carpet samples, hard hats and plastic tools for role play areas in classrooms. The staff really appreciate your support!
Coming up (As sure as eggs is eggs!)
The Travelling Book Fair arrives in school on Tuesday. You will be able to browse and buy after school during the week.
There will be a PSA meeting on Friday 3rd Feb at 3.45pm. Please join us for refreshments and cake to discuss our next fundraising event. Feel free to bring your children as there will be activities to help keep them occupied.
The new Learning Platform
This is taking shape. Teachers are having in-house training and the children are beginning to create their home pages. We hope to be letting you into the secret in the near future. Watch this space!
And finally…
May I wish you all a pleasant and relaxing weekend!
