Extra curricular activities

Football, netball, basketball and art and craft activities are organised on a rotational basis during the year.

We currently run the following after school clubs from 3.30-4.30pm, unless otherwise stated:

Mondays : Art (until 5pm)

Wednesdays : Karate

Fridays : Dance with Gina, the Dancing Diva, open to all children.
Football coaching with Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club

Peripatetic music

Children in Key Stage 2 also have the opportunity of learning to play a musical instrument during the school day. These lessons are led by qualified musicians from the East Sussex Music Service.

Children currently learn to play the violin with Ms Ratcliffe, keyboards with Mrs Wilson and guitar with Mr Hamblin.

As part of the East Sussex Wider Opportunities programme children in Year 3 are learning to play the recorder with Mrs Edwards.Children in Year 5/6 are also taking part in weekly percussion lessons led by Mr Stokes.

Sussex Police Youth Academy

Children in Class 4 spend Thursdays after school learning about the work of the police in a series of practical workshops led by PCs Shaun Taberer and Dan Bevan. All the children admit to having a great deal of fun!
