Curriculum
The school provides a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum. School is an important influence on a child’s development and its curriculum promotes the academic, physical, cultural, moral, spiritual and social welfare of each individual pupil. All four classes are of mixed ability and are organised as Reception and Year 1; Years 1 and 2; Years 3 and 4; Years 5 and 6. Each follows the subjects of the National Curriculum.
In all classes teachers plan work matched to the needs and abilities of the children, based on ongoing assessments of their needs. Whole class teaching, group work and individual work are all used in appropriate situations.
All classrooms are very well resourced, including interactive whiteboards, and children make good use of laptops with wireless connection to the internet.
