St Michaels Primary School, Playden, Rye, East Sussex

The Aims of the School

Parents see us as a family, a united team, a happy and kind place, supported by a clear, but almost invisible discipline. This is what Ofsted said about the school when they visited us in October 2008.

Our vision for every child’s development is summed up in our mission statement:

"Together Everyone Achieves More"

At St. Michael's Church of England Primary School we create an active, challenging and secure environment in which we bring about the best in everyone. We strive to create a happy, Christian school environment where each child may grow in an awareness of him/herself, of others and of God.

Each child is considered as a whole person, developing skills, concepts and attitudes necessary for the opportunities and experiences of the twenty-first century. We aim to prepare children to reach their full potential as responsible citizens.

Our school aspires to value everyone associated with it, irrespective of age, position, race, gender, background and ability. We endeavour to motivate, support and inspire personal, spiritual, emotional and educational growth in a safe and secure environment.
