Parents' Noticeboard
Parents are welcome to come into school at any time, although we prefer them to see teachers at the end of the day. All parents should call in at the office for reasons of security.
All parents are warmly invited to attend the Playden School Association (PSA) meetings and events. This is a flourishing, well-supported group who perform a fantastic job in raising money to provide equipment, books and other facilities for the benefit of all the children.
We also encourage parents to become involved as helpers with a range of activities in the classroom, either on a regular or casual basis. They are made very welcome and given whatever support they may need to assist the children.
This section provides existing and prospective parents with information about the school.

At the end of Year 6 children are expected to achieve Level 4 in English and maths as laid out by the Government in the National Curriculum. The table below compares our results for the end of Key Stage 2 national curriculum tests for 2010 with other primary schools in East Sussex as well as all the schools in England.
It is very pleasing to note that our results at Level 4+ were either in line with or exceeded both the local authority and national averages. Our results for our more able children at Level 5+ in maths was more than double those of the local and national averages, and broadly similar to both in English.
